What does BYOLLM mean?
Bring Your Own LLM. You provide an API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock; TESSA uses your key for all extractions. You get full cost visibility, data stays in your account, and your usage isn't billed twice.
What document types are supported?
PDF (native and scanned), Word, Excel, CSV, and common image formats (PNG, JPG, TIFF). TESSA handles structured forms, semi-structured invoices and POs, and free-text documents like contracts.
How accurate is extraction?
Accuracy depends on document quality and how clearly your schema is defined. For typical structured documents (invoices, POs), we see 95%+ accuracy with a well-defined map. Low-confidence extractions are flagged for human review before they commit.
What about data security?
SaaS: documents are stored encrypted at rest and in transit; access is tenant-scoped with no cross-tenant visibility. On-prem: documents never leave your network. API keys for connected LLM providers are encrypted with ASP.NET Data Protection.
Can I switch plans?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Changes apply immediately; billing prorates. Prepaid 6-month and annual customers can apply their remaining credit to a higher tier on a prorated basis.
What if I cancel a 6-month or annual prepaid plan?
You'll receive a pro-rated refund for any unused months, calculated at the standard monthly rate. For example, if you prepay Pro annually for $4,790 and cancel after four months, your usage is 4 × $499 = $1,996 and your refund is $2,794. No cancellation fees.
